Matthew House provides shelter and support to refugees, ensuring that their individual needs are met and empowering them to restart their lives in Canada.
Family Day Brunch
This team will be cooking and serving residents at Matthew House a delicious Family Day Brunch.
Lace up those skates! Volunteers will be meeting at Matthew House and transiting to City Hall with residents of Matthew House for a night of skating, hot chocolate and fun! Rentals skates are available at City Hall.
At Matthew House, volunteers will be cooking and serving residents dinner. You are encouraged to eat with the residents and socialize over dinner.
This team will be transforming Matthew House’s living room into a cinema, complete with popcorn and an ice cream bar!
Saturday Morning Brunch
Looking for brunch plans? We’ve got you! This team will be cooking and serving residents at Matthew House a delicious Saturday morning brunch.
Share your skills! We will be teaching a workshop on general cleaning and upkeep of a house. Following the workshop, volunteers will be paired up with one young resident to tackle a few of their new skills.
Do you love cleaning and organizing? Volunteers will be supporting Matthew House by doing a deep clean of their kitchen!
Habitat for Humanity mobilizes volunteers and communities to help working, lower income families build strength, stability and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.
As part of the House Build team, volunteers will be supporting the build of a house for a family in need within our community. Please dress warm and comfortable.
The Salvation Army is a Christian organization that gives hope and support to vulnerable people in 400 communities across Canada and in 131 countries. The Salvation Army exists to share the love of Jesus Christ, meet human needs and be a transforming influence in the communities of our world.
At the Salvation Army Distribution Centre, volunteers will be sorting through donated food items. Please dress comfortably.

Social Event: Caravan of Love
Who says you can’t celebrate Valentine’s Day a week after? LOFT will be hosting their annual Multicultural + Valentine’s Day social, which volunteers will be supporting by serving food and socializing with the residents.
Do you love games? LOFT’s residents do too! Volunteers will be putting on an afternoon of games, complete with a popcorn and ice cream bar!
Youth Without Shelter is an emergency residence and referral agency serving homeless youth. We are dedicated to providing shelter and support programs for homeless youth ages 16-24. We provide an independent shelter, committed to diverse client-focused services, in a safe, non-judgemental environment. Our programs enable youth to live responsibly and independently in society
Time for Change Fundraising Initiative
By supporting the Time4Change fundraising initiative, you will be positioned in the TTC hub, raising funds for critical transportation costs for Youth Without Shelter. Training will be provided prior to the event.

Be a super school packer! Volunteers will help FoodShare get good food out to schools across the city by packing produce in the warehouse.

The 35th Annual Lieutenant Governor’s Games
Youngsters of all abilities are invited to participate in an exciting day of inclusive activities presided over by the Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario. Volunteers will assist with set up and tear down of the equipment, registration desk support, running activity stations and security assistance.
The Good Shepherd provides a hot meal, clean clothes, a safe, programs, and a clean bed for the homeless and the marginalized.
Dorms + Laundry
At The Good Shepherd, volunteers will lend a helping hand making beds in the emergency shelter and sharing in a meal with those who access their drop-in programs.
Do you love to cook? Volunteers will be preparing a healthy meal for guests at The Good Shepherd.
The Good Shepherd receives clothing and food donations weekly, so volunteers will be supporting with sorting these donations.
The St Felix Centre is a compassionate and faith-inspired community for marginalized individuals in downtown Toronto providing community meals, drop in programs and more.
Community Meals Program
Serve it forward! With the community meals program you will be helping to prepare and serve a hearty meal to feed the body and spirit of guests at St.Felix.
CNOY Event Program
Volunteers will be assisting with outdoor setup and decorating ahead of the Coldest Night of the Year walk-a-thon.
Clothing Bank Program
Volunteers will be sorting, folding and organizing the clothing bank at St Felix Centre.
Second Harvest rescues good healthy food from across the supply chain – from farmers, processor, manufacturers, distribution centres and large retailers, then delivers that food to a network of social service agencies.
Volunteer hunger fighters needed! You will be helping Second Harvest to inspect and sort food donations before they get distributed throughout the city.
The Red Door Shelter assists families, refugees and women who are fleeing violence by providing emergency shelter, necessary counselling and health care. Later providing outreach services designed to assist families to remain housed and independent in the community.
Pizza Party & Arts + Crafts Activity
Come out for a pizza party and stay to do some fun arts + crafts with the families at the Red Door Shelter. Volunteers will be supporting with set up, clean up and the running of the event.

Horizons for Youth is a shelter for at-risk and homeless youth between the ages of 16-24 years old in Toronto. We provide youth with the support they need to escape from the cycle of poverty and leave the streets behind.

Share your love of cooking and help to prepare a delicious brunch for the teens at Horizons for Youth. This incredible shelter provides a safe space for homeless youth aged 16-24.

Fight4Freedom is an active voice and advocate of justice for women and men who are victimized by human trafficking and sexual exploitation – to further assist them in finding the necessary support that will aid them in their journey of safety, freedom, healing, and restoration.

The Kennedy House Youth Shelter provides a safe living environment for youth ages 16-24 who have complex needs and are experiencing homelessness. They offer programming that helps the youth stay healthy as well as access jobs, permanent housing, clothing and other supplies that will assist them as they transition to a successful future.

Furniture Bank is a charity & social enterprise that collects gently used furniture from the community and transfers them to families transitioning out of homelessness or displacement.
Showroom + Warehouse Help
Volunteers will help repair furniture, saving items from the landfill and helping clients in the showroom to select quality and dignified furniture for those who need it most.
YWCA Toronto transforms the lives of marginalized and disadvantaged women and girls in Toronto. They do this by being a strong advocate for women and girls, providing transformative services in the areas of employment support and training, housing options and shelters, leadership development programs for girls and key supports for women and children who have experienced violence.
